Stream App Not Showing All DVR Recordings

Hi, I'm having an issue with my DVR recordings not appearing correctly in the Xfinity Stream app.

Previously, all recordings were showing as expected, but after some recent account adjustments, most of them have disappeared from the app.

My DVR currently shows 139 recordings and is about 80% full. However, the Stream app only displays 17 recordings—and they’re not even the most recent ones. The app also shows storage at 99%.

Is this a syncing problem or a storage/capacity issue? And is there anything else I can try or that needs to be done to fix it?

Here’s what I’ve already done:

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the Stream app

  • Rebooted the DVR

  • Manually synced the DVR

Given the cost of these services, I expect my recordings to be reliably accessible on both the DVR and the Stream app. I’d really appreciate any help in resolving this!

Hey everyone I think I figured it out!! Somehow our DVR service got switched to DVR lite - which we DID NOT REQUEST! The difference is the number of recordings saved to the cloud rather than your in home DVR boxes. DVR lite only stores 20 hrs vs the 150 hours I had previously. I checked my service after a rep told me that’s what I have. Yes it costs $10 more a month but well worth it!!! Try it out!

How do you find out if you are on DVR Lite?

Greetings, user_9su4in! I hope your weekend is going well. We appreciate you posting on our XFINITY Community forum. You may check if you have DVR Lite by reviewing the information below.

-Log in to your XFINITY app/website and go to Billing, then Bill details. Once you open your recent bill, check for "DVR Service" and or "Cloud DVR Lite on your statement.
-Check the "Saved" section on your X1 box for upgrade options. If you see 20 hours of DVR storage or 2 simultaneous recordings, that's the Lite service.

We hope this helps address your DVR Lite concerns. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I've found that sometimes (but not always) you can go to the top and search the streaming app for the movie or show you want to watch.  It'll come up and show "play".
