We shouldn't have to use a Roku. Apple TV is one of the big streaming devices, and is supported by other internet providers. Verizon and Spectrum both have an Apple TV streaming app, as does Direct TV. It seems to me like Comcast just really wants to stick it to their customers with Apple TVs.

why do you not presume apple just doesn't want comcast's streaming TV service on their apple devices?

Because that isn't how publishing a tvOS app works. Like I said previously, every other major provider has a streaming app available on tvOS except for Comcast. I know I'm not the only one complaining about this.
