The change was a result of the Seattle Kraken ending their broadcast deal with Root Sports Northwest and establishing new broadcast partnerships with TEGNA and Amazon Prime Video, beginning in the 2024-2025 season. This means local Kraken games are no longer available on the Root Sports channel.
