Screenshot of Xfinity the tv on iPad

I was always able to make a picture of something I was watching on my iPad Xfinity tv show. About a month ago, the picture is BLACK, no content.
How can I fix this?

Ever since version 6.0.1 screenshots taken on iPhones black out the video content. I logged out of all Xfinity apps and back into stream but problem persists. Please restore screenshot functionality. It means a great deal to us shut in / work from home people to have pictures of favorite shows to brighten our lives.

I'm having the same problem.  Frustrating!

Same here and on iPhone. Screenshots stopped working on the last update, just as the Close Caption option was set defaulted as "on". Don't know if they're related but they are both terribly annoying. Losing the screenshot functionality makes the app useless.

well 'that' isn't the purpose of the stream app, after all. the firefox browser still captures a screen shot.

Thanks for the useless snark. I’m obviously talking about the Stream App on an iphone, not a laptop. Firefox browser is not an answer. In the future don’t “contribute” snarky nonsense. This isn’t Twitter or Facebook.

Same. Absolutely ridiculous. From simple things like wanting to take a pic of an outfit I like, to wanting to post on social media... can’t do it. And honestly, if xFi has their logo on the screenshot, it would be free promotion for them. They’re trying to be greedy. Imo.

That’s nonsense. DMCA has no restrictions applicable to taking a picture of a screen. Again, I’m talking about screenshots on an iPhone, Firefox is not relevant.

it may be a DMCA requirement implementation. At least it can still be captured on Firefox last time i tried.
