Safari 15 cannot open Xfinity stream on the iMac

It hangs on the buffering screen when I try to stream Xfinity TV on the Xfinity website.  Only occurred once I updated to Apple's latest browser, Safari 15.

I have MacBook Air and have update my safari as well.  My computer is only 2 years old Safari version 15.0.  I have restarted modem, rebooted my computer, I have called you tech help line with no results.  It just states now connecting to your entertainment experience.  [Edited: "Language"]  I can not get anyone to help me.  I would like to stream on my computer when Im out of town and whatever Xfinity has done on their end has made some major issues.  FIX THE PROBLEM.

@TJMccue It's fixed in Safari 15.1 beta.   Or, you can use literally any other browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera...)

@XfinityAmira

While I will be glad that the issue should be fixed with Safari 15.1, I think both Xfinity and Apple need to look at the lack of communication regarding this issue.  I appreciate your response in this forum, but Xfinity should have put out a broadcast message to its customers or, at least, put something on the Streaming webpage.  That way, customers aren't left trying countless hours of unfruitful problem solving.  This was all made worse by both Xfinity and Apple front line support staff acting like they have never heard of the issue, despite volumes of forum posts.  I hope Xfinity uses this as a case study for how to improve their incident response communications.  Thank for you for listening.

I have been an Xfinity subscriber for more than 10 years and use the Xfinity Stream app every day. That is until recently, bc I haven't been able to open it after I installed Safari 15 on my iMac.  Is Xfinity doing anything to solve this pretty significant issue? What and When? In the meantime, Xfinity should issue a credit on our already $$$$$ monthly statements.

@mariaostrowski Not XFinity's fault.  This is a bug in Safari 15.0, and it's resolved in 15.1 beta.  Also, you can use literally any other browser to stream on a Mac.

@TJMccue I am sorry to hear you are still having issues Do you have a way to check other browsers to see if you are able to connect to stream this way?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Hello Everyone

i was having the exact same issue but I downloaded Google Chrome as my internet browser.  It took 3 mins to download onto my MACBOOK and once I did I was able to login to xfinity stream with no issues.

Just installed MacOS Monterey (12.0.1), which included Safari 15.1,  Xfinity Stream now works on Safari.
