Safari 15 cannot open Xfinity stream on the iMac

It hangs on the buffering screen when I try to stream Xfinity TV on the Xfinity website.  Only occurred once I updated to Apple's latest browser, Safari 15.

Samesies.  Streams just fine using Chrome and MS Edge.  Safari 15.0 just spins on "Connecting to your Entertainment Experience..."

Same issue here.  Is someone working on this fix?

I can't open Xfinity stream webpage now days as others have experienced.  Rather than downgrade to a lesser version of Big Sur or Safari -- I merely right click on the Xfinity Safari shortcut on my desktop and click "open with Chrome".  Works fine for me.  Easier than the alternative I think until Apple addresses the issue.

Safari 15.1 Beta is available on the Apple Developers website. This fixed the problem for me.

@Mackie41 I feel sure this is just a simple compatibility issue between Xfinity & the latest version of Safari.  They usually patch issues like this quickly.  I wouldn't make a major change like backing up to an earlier version of Safari or changing cable providers.  Just use Chrome or Firefox or a free streaming app like Friendly Streaming.

Oh, just saw this.  I will search for the Safari update.  Thanks!

Has the problem resolved? I am having the same problem for days. Maybe time to switch cable service?

@user_a40459 Some posters have mentioned a Safari 15.1 beta on the Apple Developer web site as fixing the problem. I haven't tried it. I'd wait for that to be in general release before making any decisions. In the meantime, Google Chrome and Firefox (latest versions) don't seem to have this problem.

@gakon Can confirm.  This appears to have been fixed in Safari 15.1 beta.

I am also having this problem - it started two weeks ago - I waited, still going on.

I am having the same issue - for more than two weeks, I give up after a few minutes. Hope they fix this.

@user_9f9320 As mentioned above, the next Safari update should take care of this.  You can download the beta version here: https://developer.apple.com/safari/download/  I haven't done too much yet (other than streaming and some basic searches), but this beta version appears stable to me.
