Safari 15 cannot open Xfinity stream on the iMac

It hangs on the buffering screen when I try to stream Xfinity TV on the Xfinity website.  Only occurred once I updated to Apple's latest browser, Safari 15.

Same problem here. Safari 15 on Catalina hangs, but works with the Opera  browser.

Just read on Cult of Mac there is a big problem with this update not just Xfinity. A lot of crashing freezing screens etc. So I'm sure there working on a fix. Don't know how long it will take. But im sure there getting a lot of calls. The reason I'm telling you this is because i'v been having other problems with my iMac and thought it was because it's older but it seems to be the update. I'll keep trying to hang in there with this computer waiting for 27" M1 if it ever comes out.

I'm having the same problem.  It works with Chrome, but I don't want to use Chrome.  Come on Xfinity.  Make it work, please.

I had trouble with Chrome last night but it seems to be working now. Should I download Firefox?

I am having the same difficulty -- Xfinity not working at all on Safari on my MacBook Pro OS Big Sur 11.6.  Xfinity has been working on Chrome, although this evening, I could not live stream a show.

Yes it's still a problem on Safari under both Big Sur and Monterey beta 8. Works with Firefox!

I am not tech savy enough to say with certainty who is a fault here.  But as a customer of a COMMUNICATIONS company I find it concerning that I have not received anything officially from Comcast about this issue.  I spent an inordinate amount of time trying unsuccessfully trying to stream thinking that "It was a must be me problem."  The posts from so many verify that the problem is widespread and the value of good customer relationship should have been enough to proactively let paying customers know that it was/is a recognized issue and that there are temporary fixes as well as a serious attempt to address the root problem.

I totally agree. I am not sure about all of you but my bill increased $40 this month and I am a teacher who has had to scramble to find other sources for my students that did not rely on Xfinity. It has been almost two weeks since all of this started for me. It appears that we are being ignored and with the number of Mac users out there this is a big issue. I have never had to find workarounds to use what I pay for.

Hi everyone and @user_9554fb! Thanks for visiting our forums page for help with the XFINITY stream concern. I love streaming all my video content via XFINITY stream so I understand the inconvenience that this can cause. We’re currently working to resolve the technical issue with the XFINITY stream. Thank you so much for your patience with us. As soon as we have an update we will reach back out here with the details. In the meantime, have you tried streaming on a different browser to see if experience the same issue?

Same problem. I called Comcast a week ago but still can't stream on MacPro. Seems to be related to the latest operations system upgrade. Not sure what to do.  I wonder if non Apple computers have this issue
