Roku Xfinity app problem today
The xfinity app has been failing today. After you lauch the app and the first menu shows up, about a second or two later, the app disappears (crashes?) and we are back in the main Roku menu.
We have two devices and this is happening on both. I've rebooted the Roku and the cable modem and the problem persists.
Just wondering if this is a known issue. Otherwise our connection is fine and I am able to stream TV from a computer, etc.

It is 9:08 PM Mountain Time and I just tried xfinity on Roku and it is now working. My hope is that it stays working now.

Hi, @FEB2! Thank you for reaching out. We are aware there were issues with the Xfinity Stream App, but we have made progress. Thank you for your patience as worked to get this resolved. How is everything working so far? Have you seen any improvements on your end?

@Rob624
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. We’re aware of an issue where the Xfinity Stream app is freezing or closing automatically upon launching on Roku devices. We’re working to identify and fix the issue, but there is no ETR at this time. I apologize for the frustration this is causing you and hope we get this working for everyone experiencing the issue soon.

Adding to the list of those for whom suddenly on the 26th xfinity beta is not working through roku. It worked for a couple years or so. We went through the routine: removed the app, depowered roku, even completely removed power to the tv (thus the dongle), powered all back up and reinstalled the app - and went through the signin. The only thing we didn't do is to reset the modem. We are in the northwest, I think the comcast route is via Bothell wa.

As of yesterday (28 Feb) around noon both my Roku Streaming sticks work again. They started working just as magically as they stopped working on the 25th.

My Xfinity streaming app stopped recognizing me as a subscriber for any cable channel. It still streams braodcast channels like NBC, ABC but not cable like CNN, HGTV. It tells me I need to upgrade. But check the Xfinity streaming on your laptop and phone (go to xfinity.com site and click on top right icon for TV streaming). The cbale channels are either missing or if you click on them it tells you that you need to subscribe. So it would appear the issue is a database connection or syncing error with streaming. In other words, it can no longer recognize us as subscribers. I had a modem restart, reinstall app, deprovision and resporvision entitlement for streaming devices and nothing has worked. Yesterday was on with Comcast support for hours and today 7 hours before the agent @ComcastShayne just disappeared without explanation. So good luck everyone.
