Roku Xfinity app problem today
The xfinity app has been failing today. After you lauch the app and the first menu shows up, about a second or two later, the app disappears (crashes?) and we are back in the main Roku menu.
We have two devices and this is happening on both. I've rebooted the Roku and the cable modem and the problem persists.
Just wondering if this is a known issue. Otherwise our connection is fine and I am able to stream TV from a computer, etc.

"same issue Xfinity support has not been able to resolve yet. Any ideas suggested by community?"
I think the answer to that thus far is a deffinitive "No."

"I am sorry to hear this. Can you please click on my name "ComcastSelena" and then click on "Send a message" so we can help?"
Sure. Where? Again, walled-off. As long as you're collecting our money, you're good, right?

I have been having the same issue that started around the same time and I have tried all the same things... Nothing works and the customer service has been useless. They keep pushing the blame on to Roku though nothing has changed except their app stopped working.

Same here, in case I wasn't clear in my previous posts. I'm suspecting a behind the scene update, some "brilliant" code change, from the fantastic minds at Comcast, which updated ALL Xfinity beta apps based on Android (I think Roku is based on that anyway) behind the scenes without customer indication has caused a serious bug. I love how scanning Google only brings up the usual nonsense and useless info and of course more ways to give comcast more money are the only topics presented in the first 100 or so urls it gives you. America's corporations ARE NOT working for your best interests people.

look at comcast-*extracting mouth action*.com to get some scope on the issue. Of course their web filter won't let me post the the actual word.

Having the same issue over the same couple of days. I click the Xfinity Stream Beta app on the Roku home screen, and the Xfinity home screen appears, then a couple of seconds later it automatically exits Xfinity and goes back to the Roku home screen. I have tried everything (checked for Roku and t.v. updates, uninstall/reinstall the app, reboot router, reboot Roku) and nothing has worked. This issue does not happen with any other apps on my Roku. This is definitely an Xfinity issue!

I have had the Xfinity Stream Beta App through my Roku for 3+ years. The first time I've seen this problem, it started yesterday: When I select the Xfinity Stream Beta app on my t.v. through my Roku, the main screen Xfinity screen appears, but after a couple of seconds it automatically exits the app and takes me back to my Roku home screen. This does not happen with any other apps on my Roku, and my Xfinity Stream is working fine on my laptop.
I have checked for updates on my Roku and my television, and they're up-to-date.
I have rebooted my router several times. Didn't fix the problem.
I have unplugged and reconnected my Roku. Didn't fix the problem.
Help!! I can't think of anything else to try. This seems like an Xfinity issue.
