Roku Xfinity app problem today
The xfinity app has been failing today. After you lauch the app and the first menu shows up, about a second or two later, the app disappears (crashes?) and we are back in the main Roku menu.
We have two devices and this is happening on both. I've rebooted the Roku and the cable modem and the problem persists.
Just wondering if this is a known issue. Otherwise our connection is fine and I am able to stream TV from a computer, etc.

I am another Xfinity Streaming beta app user for Roku that has had the app crash all day on 2-26-21 it worked ok on 2-25-21. I have done all the suggested actions to correct it: unistalled, reinstalled, rebooted Roku and even rebooted my Xfinity modem. I need some other direction or if the app is not longer functioning as the "beta trial" need help.

The app which currently loads (and doesn't work) from my Roku os Version 5.6 Build 0, I believe first launched on February 3 this year.
Everything woked fine for me until mid day Friday February 26.
I suspect when the problem is resolved, there will be an updated version or build number, and/or a new login authorization will be required with the repaired app, but I am not a tech wizard and could be wrong.

same issue Xfinity support has not been able to resolve yet. Any ideas suggested by community?

Me too. I spent an hour on chat with Xfinity support, through 2 levels of support. Then they said it was a Roku issue. I spent an hour on chat with Roku who said it was Xfinity. They (Roku) mentioned an issue with the "Application Interface". Not sure what that is. App works on my laptop, iPads, and on the Samsung TV, but both my Rokus (old streaming stick and newer 3810 + stick crash right after startup with no error messages. Worked on the 25th and did not work on the 26th. Still not working on the 27th.

I have checked for updates.
Restarted Roku.
Removed/added Xfinity Stream Beta.
Every other app works including Hulu, Netflix, Vudu, and Prime Video.

I am having the same problem. called tech suppolrt and they didn't even know what the Xfinity Beta App was. I am hoping that this is monorted by comcast and they will look into the problem. No one at comcast seems to know who is responcible for their app.

Finally, after hours of searching (of course xfinity has walled themselves off from their own customers so getting direct support is impossible) I stumbled on this page which vindicates what I've felt (agian felt, not been able to expressed to anyone I actually PAY MONEY TO FOR THIS "SERVICE"), I see some kind of awknolwdgement from Comcast that they messed something up.
I've seen megabytes of useless self-help articles and useless nonsense in the forums about how this is probably a customer issue, automated "help" bots that have no ability to address the actual issue. Can't be a Roku problem when ALL 3 of my Roku devices exhibit the problem, and of course no amount of re-setting the gateway helps. Oh, I can watch the app on my tablet... that's great. I want my tv back.
Remember when there were mom and pop internet providers over 20 years ago? Some of you younger people may not remember those days. You could get internet service from any number of smaller providers. Let me let you in on a little info:
I blame congress for this nonsense. Back in the 2000's Congress told the major cable companies who were barred from the massive consolidation we see in other industries that the country needs more high speed internet connectivity. The large providers said "Allow us to snap up all those little players and we'll give you high-speed internet everywhere." Congress agreed, now we have Comcast and DISH (great) in this area, its the same in the other markets. Congress also kind of gave the big guys a blank check to buy all the little providers and start building that high-speed infrastructure. Guess what they did? Bought up all the small players and kept the money for the high speed infrastructure. Do you have fiber cable directly into your homes? A few do, now maybe.
Your congress at work. What a messed up country. Korea has the hisghest number of high-speed internet connected homes, not the US.

I am also having the same issue and it also started on the same day as yours - worked fine on 25 Feb Not working since! I have also tried all of the "trouble shooting" and nothing works. So frustrated.
