roku works but cant stream

the third tech just left and no fix- I can not stream the xfinity app through roku- my wifi works fine I can watch netflix etc.. I am renting a modem as well for another tv and it works fine BUT I get error message saying it can only be watched through in home wifi   HELP im going crazy - 25 codes rebooted many times- added the channel deleted the channel - AHHH

I do have an old account that is linked to my new account- xfinity said that is NOT the problem 

also tech told me my modem is not being detected but Im getting internet

moved post to the stream site area of the forum. Can get this fixed but will need to go thru a test. 

first, using a smart phone/tablet run the stream app, does it work on the very same SSID (your own in-home wifi)? Second, using the Xfinity my account app, select the internet tab and then the modem/gateway (only one shown?). does the shown serial number exactly match character by character the HFC MAC address on your installed and working gateway/modem?
