Return downloads not working

I downloaded shows to my iPad to watch while traveling. As I finished watching them, it asked if I wanted to return them. I said yes, although I was in airplane mode and didn’t think about that. Now that I’m home on my DVR it says they’re downloaded on my iPad and must be returned. But if I go to my iPad, there is nothing in my downloads. How do I resolve this conflict?

Thank you.  I was busy all week and when I sat down last night to watch TV, I was able to delete the recordings.  Seems like something was just stuck and took time to sync but all is well now.

Go to your account settings on your device (mine is a Samsung and the account settings are in the upper left corner). Once there, find "Manage Devices". When I went in there I saw my phone and under it, it said I had two recordings and it gives me an option to return them. I clicked "Return" and it worked.
