Request for Xfinity Stream App Support on TCL Google TVs
Hello,
I’m writing to request support for the Xfinity Stream app on TCL Google TVs, specifically models such as the TCL 85QM7K running Google TV / Android 14.
Currently, the Xfinity Stream app is not available for download through the Google Play Store on TCL Google TV devices. Many customers, including myself, rely on Xfinity for cable and streaming services and would greatly benefit from native app support directly on these televisions.
TCL Google TVs are becoming increasingly popular, especially in larger home entertainment setups, and adding the Xfinity Stream app would greatly improve the user experience by eliminating the need for additional streaming devices.
Please consider enabling compatibility or adding official support for the Xfinity Stream app on TCL Google TV models.

I also want the xfinity stream app on my the google streaming device I just bought. Why is it missing on this platform?

I agree, I just purchased an outdoor tv that comes equipped with Google TV, but cannot connect to the xfinity programming that I pay for on the TV. I may search for another carrier. b/c the tv and soundbar are expensive. Cable and internet can be obtained elsewhere.

And on my TCL 32Q3K smart TV. Can not find Xfinity Stream on Google Play so I can not install it. Set has lastest FW update.

How about all Google TVs? We were told by the Xfinity rep that we don’t even need boxes because of the streaming only to find out it’s not true.

We also are trying to get the app on google tv and can’t. Seems like their plan so you have to rent more boxes. Of course they won’t give any retention discount even with us being customers for 30 years

Another customer to post same issue. 30 years loyal. Try to lower bill and they suggest downloading the app and can’t since not available on google tv for my tcl tv. So stuck with boxes. Won’t give a discount despite 30 years and they apparently aren’t progressing to get the app out there. At some point we will get to changing providers I guess
