Request for Xfinity Stream App Support on TCL Google TVs

Hello,

I’m writing to request support for the Xfinity Stream app on TCL Google TVs, specifically models such as the TCL 85QM7K running Google TV / Android 14.

Currently, the Xfinity Stream app is not available for download through the Google Play Store on TCL Google TV devices. Many customers, including myself, rely on Xfinity for cable and streaming services and would greatly benefit from native app support directly on these televisions.

TCL Google TVs are becoming increasingly popular, especially in larger home entertainment setups, and adding the Xfinity Stream app would greatly improve the user experience by eliminating the need for additional streaming devices.

Please consider enabling compatibility or adding official support for the Xfinity Stream app on TCL Google TV models.

I agree, I just purchased an outdoor tv that comes equipped with Google TV, but cannot connect to the xfinity programming that I pay for on the TV. I may search for another carrier. b/c the tv and soundbar are expensive. Cable and internet can be obtained elsewhere.

I not sure your model or year it was manufactured but shoot probably 7-8 yrs ago I had a LG TV with Google TV and was able to "sideload" app onto it you would have to look into it don't remember the steps but long and short need access to Google casting device like stand along Google TV/ chrome cast and once it's set up you basically copy that file but onto USB drive then enter t v's developer mode and then you can slide side load xfinity t v to older, lg t v's

And on my TCL 32Q3K smart TV. Can not find Xfinity Stream on Google Play so I can not install it. Set has lastest FW update.

How about all Google TVs? We were told by the Xfinity rep that we don’t even need boxes because of the streaming only to find out it’s not true.
