Remote running slow and system freeze

Remote runs slow (5 sec). System freezes and or no sound. Doesn't seem to matter what app is used Netflix, Amazon or free TV through xfinity home screen.

New batteries,  reset system and the system says had good internet speed. What do I do now?

Can you tell me more about your current set up? Do you have any additional devices connected such as a router, extender or amplifier connected?

Is your modem plugged directly into the walk outlet or a splitter or surge protector? 

Is this happening with the apps on your cable box or your tv?
