Remote App doesn't work

I have cleared cache and restarted phone. I also deleted app and reinstalled. It still doesn't work

 

Please advise

you posted in the stream TV app area. are you speaking of the xfinity TV Remote app?

when you launch the app are you using the same username/password you use on the my account app and stream TV app?

Yes, I am.... the same when i try to login it goes to the authorization and hangs... it never completes.

you mean 12.3.1 ? find the app on the phone (may be in a folder). touch&hold until icon shakes and an 'x' appears on the icon. press the x so the app is removed.. press home button. press and hold the unlock/lock button until 'slide to turn off' appears and turn off phone. after a minute or so of being off, press lock/unlock button to turn phone on. reinstall the app and log in. working now?

when it gets to oauth.xfinity.com it hangs...  it cannot login...evey other xfinity app works.  it says the server has stopped responding

you didn't mention you had followed the steps in my previous reply?

Yes... I have tried everything....  is there a solution or is the app just bad?

does the same device run the xfinity stream TV app successfully? (edit) did you change the DNS server to google or cloudflare by chance?

THAT WAS IT.....!!!!  I switched to Comcast DNS (75.75.75.75.  --  75.75.76.76) and it worked.... Thanks a lot... all is good
