Recording freezes only on iPad app

Recording playback will sometimes freeze - sound will continue to play but the picture is either black or frozen.  Playback works fine on my TV with the xfinity console. I’ve attempted to troubleshoot by ensuring my iOS is updated, deleting the app and redownloading, closing the app..I even bought a new iPad because this was happening on my very old iPad and thought this was the issue.  In searching for a resolution, I see posts dating back to 2020 about this same issue…

how is this issue being addressed and resolved?  I pay HUNDREDS of dollars every month for cable/internet/streaming services but part of my service is not functioning correctly…would xfinity expect to pay for a service that isn’t working properly?  No, they wouldn’t and they shouldn’t expect their customers to either!

There are at least five threads with this same issue in the last year.  Xfinity answers with helpful tips like “try logging out and back in” and then they close the thread.  This is a known issue at the point and it’s well documented.   Randomly on Apple devices a recording will freeze the video and continue with sound.  You can’t fix it. It persists across devices.  The playback is fine if you move back to the DVR.  It’s very clearly an issue with the iOS app playback.   Get your developers on fixing these bugs.
