playback issue 2111 error 7

I am also having the issue on my chromebook of not being able to watch live or recorded programs on the streaming app.  In a chat the other day I was told it was an Xfinity server problem that they were working on.  I'm starting to doubt that as I've seen this same error on chats from a long time ago.  SO......is there a solution or not.  This is very frustrating.  This is a new problem as it worked before.

I went to the Xfinity store today and they have no idea why this is happening.  Frustrating.

@EG   I have gotten no help on this.  No one at xfinity had a solution. Not sure if this is my chromebook problem or not.  It was working up until a few days ago.  Had no problem with the app.

Found this, after hours and trying to find solution.  Did this and I can watch whatever, live or recorded.  I can't go through the app like I've always done.  Why?   Do not know.  But this works for now.

Go to xfinity.com/stream

click on the lock to the left of the address bar

click the dropdown to the right of Flash, scroll down and select Allow

Reload to apply the settings.

Hi JLCAMP75. Thanks for posting on our Forum about your findings. This has been a known issue with our Xfinity Stream service and Chrome browser with Flash compatibility. Please visit the following link for more info: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/enable-flash-on-google-chrome

Enabling Flash on Google Chrome to Watch Xfinity Stream

If you use Google Chrome to watch shows or movies from the  Xfinity Stream portal, you might need to turn on Flash. And starting with  Chrome 76, you won’t be able to turn on Flash from within the Xfinity Stream portal.

That means the next time you open Chrome, you’ll have to enable Flash through Chrome’s built-in settings.
