Cannot reverse recorded programming as it only restarts the  programming  from  the  beginning

@user_f66961 Good evening, and thank you for taking the time to create a post. Can you tell me what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far?

Restarted the app, performed a memory optimization, checked for app update, restarted the LG C3 TV (unplugging from AC for 10-15 seconds), checked the internet connection, and reinstalled the app. This function worked until recently, perhaps after LG updated the web OS to 24. Also while using the menu of the stream app or at times playing back a recording the internet has failed downloading content and no other app has internet either, and the only solution has been to unplug the TV from AC power and restart.

user_f66961 It may have something to do with the LG TV update, if the issues started afterwards. Have you tried forgetting the TVs connection to your internet, and establishing a new connection?

I've tried disconnecting the cable, running on WiFi by itself, and combinations of unplugging the TV and doing a memory optimization. Before that today I noticed a new quirk where playing back a recorded program I still could not rewind back without it just starting over from the beginning but ALSO half way through with that happening it also did the same thing in fast forward for the first time playing any cloud recording. I also tried deleting and reinstalling Xfinity Stream with memory optimization before reinstalling it.

I don't know how the Xfinity Stream program works but either there is a bug in rewind/fast forward function relating to the cloud recording retrieval, or retrieval from the buffered memory in the LG C3 TV Web OS24 system. LG and Stream are not playing well together and I've tried reporting this to both LG and Xfinity for a resolution since it is very aggravating starting a program over from the beginning all the time and trying to find where you left off to continue watching. I guess it would be easier to just do without the rewind and fast forward functions. But everything worked perfect when Stream was first installed at the end of November 2024. The new LG Web OS was installed later and it seems like the problem started after that. HELP

Our engineers have identified there is an issue preventing rewind from working and causing programs on the stream app to skip back to the beginning of the program. At this time, there is not a temporary solution, however, our amazing engineers are actively working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
