PBS Passport App

Why doesn’t Xfinity have the PBS Passport App? Wonderful family programming with terrific PBS shows!

I had Directv and it was available-I switched to Xfinity and it is really baffling it’s not offered!

We bailed out.

I'm returning the little box that the technician gave us when we signed up w/Xfinity after we moved here from out-of-state.

RIDICULOUS that in 2022 a corporation doesn't recognize PBS, that started in what, 1962?

Subscribed to 'YouTube TV' & so far, so good!

Please add PBS passport. Ridiculous that you don’t have it.

@Amc5  Hello and thank you for reaching out over our Xfinity Community Forum, and thank you also for that valuable feedback. I would highly recommend submitting your feedback through our official Xfinity feedback form, so it can go through the proper channels and get the right eyes on the issue so to speak, which can be submitted here https://comca.st/3NuUK3K.

I no longer work for Comcast.

I also want the pbs app. You have pbs kids, for some reason. Why not the adult version?

Judging from the pages and perhaps hundreds of requestsj/complaints that Comcast/Xfinity should add a PBS Passport app as it has with almost every other subscription service (HBO, Hulu, AppleTV, even obscure ones like Vudu, etc)....  it would seem like a win/win for both Comcast and PBS so there's no reason not to... hope we'll finally get it this year...thank you... a loyal customer.

I agree totally. It's disappointing and disgusting that Xfinity doesn't support the PBS App, denying us a TV service we pay PBS for. Just another reason to consider alternatives, as Xfinity raises prices again (Jan 2023 added new taxes & fees)! Xfinity service has been spotty this past year (even though I pay for extra speed-it has been sluggish and fails to load at times; telephone contact with xFinity is convoluted, time-wasting, not user friendly; prices & packages are not readily available online and package pricing definitely not transparent. I use very little of the $200/mo. service I pay for.   One (of many) unhappy customer(s)

It is completely ridiculous that Xfinity has not made an agreement with PBS to carry access to the PBS App. As a PBS Passport member, I watch their shows all the time, however sometimes I miss the program even if I record it due to being away or missing the first season. I want to watch on my TV, not my phone or tablet or my computer. I want to easily access the PBS App on my TV. Like many others in this forum I am ready to switch to a carrier who provides easy access.

Good afternoon, @user_c6d745 and thread. I love watching PBS as well and understand wanting to see Passport added. I submitted this feedback on your behalf. You can also make the request at our Channel Request Availability Survey. We definitely want to offer the content that you want to watch and are glad you are sharing your feedback!

We have a Roku TV in one room where we can get PBS Passport. But we are out of luck if we want to watch it in our living room. How much sense does this make? Please add this option to our xfinity service. We, too, pay $250 or more a month to Comcast.

I add my voice to the chorus of users who want xfinity to add the PBS Passport app.  My tv only has one HDMI port, and xfinity used to take up that port.  PBS Passport streams on a Roku device, so I have to unplug xfinity to plug in the Roku.  I have news for you, xfinity - once the Roku is plugged in, I am going to decide if I can get the content I want from them.  If so, you’ll be driving me to be a cord cutter for failing to provide access to PBS Passport app.

Hey @user_ae59c6! Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums and letting us know you would like to see the PBS passport part of the x1 family! We will be passing this feedback along to the proper channels for future enhancement and consideration for making the X1 experience even better! On a side note, did you know you can download the Xfinity Stream app on Roku and still have access to your channels? Another thing you can do would be to use an HDMI splitter or switch so that way you don't have to unhook anything.
