No Xbox One Xfinity Stream App?

Is the Xfinity Stream App available for Xbox One? If not, then when will it be? It's kind of weird that a massive mainstream company like Comcast would not have an app for something like Xbox One. Additionally, when I tried to view content by individual channels that are offered with our Comcast service on Xbox One, Starz, which has an app on Xbox One, doesn't even list Comcast as a provider for me to be able to prove that I have Starz, so that I can watch the content I'm paying for. (Ironically, a mere channel like Starz has an app on Xbox One, but not an entire cable company like Comcast?) This is all a big let down to be honest and kind of rediculous. I even tried to just simply look up Comcast through the internet browser available on Xbox One and stream my service that way; I could not do that either. It's like, no matter what, Comcast boxes you out of being able to view the content you're paying for. Is it because Comcast is luddite or is there some kind of corporate dispute between Microsoft and Comcast?

Can you tell me more about Roku? Is it a device or a service or a device that offers a service? I have heard of it, but I have never looked into it. It's free? What's free about it? Please tell me more. I would really appreciate it.

uses internet and attaches to an hdmi port. options (upgrade) to users include earphone jack in remote and wireless rf remote. the current use of the roku is free as the 'channgle' is in beta status.

You just buy the device and then you can get the Xfinity Stream app there?

How is that an answer for something that comcast keeps telling everyone is available on Xbox One? They say it on their website in reply to people complaining & never explain how to do it. This gentleman above shouldn't have to go buy another supported device because you can't give us how to get xfinity stream app on the xbox one. This has been going on for years & I still haven't seen a solution. Everyone seems to just give up. My xfinity repair tech that came to the house & support on the phone also give me the same info. Xfinity is available to Xbox One with the stream app. But none can give me instructions on how. I even showed the tech & he was confused.

This is crazy that I have to pay a rental on box that overheats when I both an XboxOne and PS4 that are paid that could easily serve as my cable box. They even make TV style controllers for both systems. This is what will make me leave cable and find an alt stream option.

No they aren't. Not to mention my game systems are far faster, in all aspects. Pausing and fast forward / rewind, opening apps, multitasking apps, etc. It's wrong I'm paying a rental for worse hardware than I already own. I'm really considering canceling cable because I'm that bothered by it, which is crazy.

Good for you. Yes they are more efficient and cooler. I have two Xbox one x’s which run cool 99% of the time. Even my gaming pc runs cool. Technology changes bud.

Comcast and Xbox were partners in the Past. When Xbox was making the Xbox one Xfinnity was going to have an app on xbox, just like the 360. Xfinnity created a new cable box called the x1. The X1 is a operating system interface that Xfinnity wants it's customers to use. Xbox added their own TV viewing interface that made the Xfinnity operating interface redundent and Xbox one users whould have essentially had to use the Xbox interface instead of the Comcast interface when watching live TV. This upset Comcast off and they nixed plants to cooperate with Microsoft. Essentially you have two pouty companies who want to rule the world and we suffer from their pettiness! Maybe the new Xbox will not have the direct cable interface option and Comcast will change it's mind. Otherwise this fight will continue. Xboxone itself will never have an xfinnity app. Ever!

So why does PlayStation also not have it? Need to pay for their new skyscrapers I guess. Both the Xbox and PS4 provide far better picture quality and the cable box is slooooow. Using Netflix on Xbox is vastly different than through the x1 cable box. If Roku can stream Xfinity there is zero reason for Xbox/PS4 to not in my opinion.

I was researching swapping my Youtube TV which has crawled from $30 to $50 to in the last two years, but the lack of an app for my Xbox is a deal breaker. There is no way I'm buying a streaming subscription service that doesn't offer an app for all mainstream consoles. Rediculous.

It is weird that the xfinity streaming app  isn't available for Chromecast Google TV & Xbox One -- I was looking for this option given that recently YouTubeTV increased their price besides removed the Tennis Channel. I have switched to Xfinity streaming option but now I cannot play on my TV due to above limitation. I hope Xfinity resolves this problem quickly before they loose me as a customer.
