MLB app on android keeps failing on home xfinity network

Whenever I try to watch an MLB game on my Samsung android S21 on my home Xfinity wifi network I get the message "we're sorry we can't stream now, try again later" I was at my son's home last week on his direct tv wifi and it work flawlessly on my phone.  Does anyone have a solution to make it work on my Xfinity wifi.  I've already rebooted the modem, re-installed the app, nothing helps.

Hey there, @apapier. I am sorry to hear you are having this weird issue. It may be an issue with our xFi Advanced Security maybe? Have you tried to deactivate this?

To turn off the Advanced Security feature in xFi, select the Account icon from the top-left corner of the Overview tab on the Xfinity app and then select xFi Advanced Security. From here, select Turn Off under xFi Advanced Security and follow the on-screen prompts.

  • Note: By disabling, you’ll lose 24/7 threat monitoring and real-time reporting on your home network. You can re-enable the feature by following the same steps and selecting Turn On, or you can select Turn On from the Connect tab.

Advanced security is off.  Any other suggestions?

The only other thing I can think of is that if you are going to be streaming it in your home on your in home network, and continue to get that message, please try to connect to the xfinitywifi hotspot network to see if it does let you that way. Please do let me know how this now works when you have the chance!

Yes it seems to work if I switch to xfinity mobile wifi.  Now how can you get it to work on my home network so the I can view on chromecast?

I'm sorry for the delay. You may have missed our reply asking for you to send us a direct message so that we can take a direct look at the modem and setting. Can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address? 

To send a "Peer to peer" message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
