Location required for Xfinity Stream App

Today all of a sudden, with no explanation Xfinity Stream App will not play a channel for which I pay without having my location services turned on. And I am on my home wifi !!  Why Xfinity Why ????

The day after I made this post, the stream service started working again without having to turn on location services. Thanks Xfinity !

I am also receiving the same message. Every evening, I watch videos from my Xfinity DVR. Tonight, I received notification that I cannot watch video without turning on location services. I am using a Samsung tablet connect to my Xfinity home WiFi. Considerably annoyed...

I should not have to turn on my device location services to use the streaming app when I am on my own xfinity home wifi network. I didn't have to do this before yesterday. Why am I being asked to do so today? Deal breaker for me and Comcast.
