Local TV

I understand that with xfi internet only, I still should have access to local TV channels through xfinity stream, but when I try to log on, I am not able to view the local channels without paying $50 extra.  Please let me know how I am able to get solely local network channels.

Good afternoon @bmarr123. If you head over to https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/free-streaming-channels, you'll see the list of channels available and how to access them. Let us know if you are successful.

@XfinityRaf This doesn't work.  When I download the app, I cannot get to any content, free or otherwise, without first agreeing to pay $50+ for the entire streaming service.  I'm not given an opportunity to just choose the free channels.

@bmarr123 prior to signing in to the Xfinity stream app, did you create a username with your account? That will be needed to identify you do have an internet service plan.

@XfinityDuron Yes, I did, and I'm able to sign in on the streaming app, and it recognizes me and says how much I'm paying currently.  However, it won't let me go anywhere except the opening screen unless I agree to pay an additional $50 for streaming service.  Please help.

Thanks,

Thanks for confirming. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name and full address, we can run through some troubleshooting steps with you.

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
