Hello @user_0uzizf, and thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum. We understand that missing local channels is not the experience we want you to have, and you've come to the right place for help.

To help us better understand what's happening, could you let us know if this is affecting your Xfinity TV cable service? Also, are all local channels missing or only specific ones?

The more details you can provide, the better we can assist. We're here to help!

When I use the xfinity stream app on my phone or computer it opens but does not list my local channels for abc, nbc, cbs nor fox in Sacramento CA.  It shows all other features fine.

But on my tv it won't open xfinity stream stream except for " my purchases ". It wants me to buy a plan. It used to work fine on my tv until I bought the movie  "Saving Private Ryan" about a 15 months ago. You had a technician come to my house few months ago but he could not fix the problem.

no,  but I think that xfinity changed the rules so that to get local channels with xfinity stream (using the "Live TV" tab,  I must have some sort of paid plan. I am only an internet customer who pays for Netflix, Apple, and Peacock in a combined package.

I don't have a paid plan that includes local channels for Sacramento, CA.

Unfortunately, I think something happened to my account about 15 months ago when I bought the movie Saving Private Ryan". I believe that your systems somehow thinks that purchase was a "plan" with no access to local channels.

I believe that xfinity stream will work for my tv if I get the Xumo box but I think it still won't work for my phone and computer. My name is Larry Gaines 8231 Grandstaff Dr, Sacramento, CA.

The Xfinity Stream app on Roku, Firestick or Fire Cube is classified as a "partner device" app. It requires a connection to your registered home Xfinity internet network to function. You can use your phone or iPad to stream your ToGo channels.
