iPad apps

On 2 different iPads and 2 different houses. My xfinity stream app and Netflix app always freezes. Sometimes my prime app. I have reset, unplugged, deleted, updated, reinstalled, turned off and slammed my fist. But it always freezes. It sometimes takes 30 minutes to get through 10 minutes of a show. I mostly watch while I'm cooking. In my current house my router it 12 feet away with no obstructions. My last house was 15feet away. No house phone is plugged in near my router. I've turned my tv off and even unplugged my cable box. Just to see if that was causing interference. I can watch YouTube videos and it never freezes. Why do these app always freeze

how does your signal work when using a smart phone in the same location (holding in hand not laying on counter killing wifi signal)?

since the iphone works it is pointing to an ipad problem. if removing the app and powering down the ipad, reinstalling and sign-in of the app does not fix it the common issue seems to be the ipad. if you carry the ipad right to the wireless router (or if combination the modem/gateway) does it then work?

I only have problems while watching Netflix and xfinity apps. Nothing else. I now have a brand new iPad Pro. The same problem as my older iPad. My iPhone also uses cellular data. So WiFi isn’t really a factor.
