How do I get cloud-based DVR service

I have a Roku TV with Xfinity streaming app. How do I get cloud based DVR service with that?

Ok2bclever, Thank you for reaching out. I hope you are doing great today :) I see you are looking to use the cloud-based DVR service on the Stream App. If you don't currently pay for DVR service, you'd still get 20 hours of Cloud DVR with your cable plan.

This link HERE explains a bit more about the Cloud DVR recordings and how to access them on the app, and this link HERE covers more about the navigation and functionality of the Stream App on Roku.

@XfinityVianney Thank you, but neither of those really address my question. I assumed that Cloud DVR was a true online DVR associated with the Xfinity streaming app which I downloaded onto my Roku yesterday, but I now understand you have to have a physical box to use Cloud DVR to record. The Xfinity streaming app can only access previously recorded stuff. I had been using a TIVO for decades. The cable card died, and I found out Xfinity has ceased supplying those making my TIVO non-functional as far as recording further shows, or even using it as a channel box. That was what got me to download the Xfinity streaming app. I went around and around with the less than helpful Xfinity Assistant yesterday, and two online Xfinity employees today. The two online employees were frankly less knowledgeable than the Assistant, although both were friendly. However, they did help me understand I need a physical box that costs a monthly subscription beyond all that I already pay for the Ultimate TV plan, Gig level internet and a phone service that I neither need or use, but gets me a cheaper (not cheap, just cheaper) bundled price. The first one could not really help me at all besides transferring me to the second who was supposed to be tech support. Seeing as he had never heard of a TIVO, and did not even know what a cable card was I was not impressed, and not surprised he was of little help, not even able to give me solid subscription pricing for a box that would allow me to use the Cloud DVR. So, tomorrow I will take a drive to the local Xfinity store and wait in the virtual line to discuss this with hopefully someone knowledgeable. I likely will not follow through with this if it costs me an unending $12-$60 per month to get a "free" 20 hours of Cloud DVR, but who knows. Thanks again for at least responding to my question.
