Getting error message tvapp-00331

I am Trying to watch shows/movies I’ve recorded and when I do it will play part of them , say 11-30 minutes depending on the length of the show and then will stop and I am unable to get it to play past that so I can finish the show. This has happened with different channels, at first I thought it was that.

Its been happening all week and I’ve been just deleting and not watching but I’d like someone to look into this.

I use the xfinity beta app via roku. I deleted and signed in again twice, restarted it, turned the whole thing off for a day and nothing will help. It’s all updated.

It will eventually say “This video cannot be played “

error tvapp-00331

Please help I’m getting very frustrated.

on what specific device are you attempting to use the stream app?

Getting the same error on my Roku 3810x trying to watch shows in the xfinity app. Show plays fine for the first 20 min or so then the words don’t match the picture and if you try to fast forward or go out of the app and come back in you get this error

I am getting this same error. Also either the sound stops or the sound stays but the picture does not advance.  I am streaming on an IPAD.  I can watch one show and it will be fine.  Then I go on to the next show that has been recorded and get that error message or have the sound/picture advancing issue.  A few shows that have been recorded work just fine.

Did anyone ever answer the original question?

Thanks

Roberta

I'm getting this error, too, trying to watch a movie, via the Xfinity Stream Roku app, that I recorded on our Comcast DVR.

Unfortunately, I think it's too late to find another showing of this movie, so I'm wondering whether anyone has ever found that this problem resolved itself after a bit?

was this a completed recording or in progress? did you try playing same program from a smart phone/tablet? do you have a home DVR set top box? is the program there?

Same problem.  Audio gets out of sync, I back out of the app in hopes it re-syncs audio only to get the error message every time then can never finish the shows.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to reach out to us here on our forum, @user_4af677! I love watching TV through the app on my upstairs TV so I'd be upset if I was running into these issues. What type pf device are you using the app on? Do you notice the same issues through the stream site: https://comca.st/3fT2grA? Do you have a physical cable box that is having the same issue?

Same issue. watching recorded shows from HD channels (Fox and CW). I've rebooted both my tvs, tried on both of my tvs, reinstalled the app on both tvs. Xfinity obviously has a problem with their app that they need to look into. it's not a ME problem, it's definitely a YOU problem.

Any update on this? Getting same error. Recording plays fine on xfinity app on iPad, on the DVD, but not roku xfinity beta app.
