Feedback/Suggestions: XFINITY Stream on Roku
I've been using the Stream app on Roku for a month or two now and for the most part I'm fairly pleased.
The major problems I've had are what it lacks:
One of the main things I've needed to use the app for is access to On Demand versions of TV Shows that were interrupted on my local channels due to local news/national news interruptions, but the app only gives the cloud dvr recorded copy that was interrupted.. no access to the on demand versions.
Another feature missing for me is the lack of "To Go" channels which are often helpful for when local news are interrupting programs.
It would be nice if the devices had some privacy or keep what you do on the device not shared with other devices. Unfortunately, I've also given this sort of feedback for the X1 system for about 8+ years, as they still don't have "user profiles" or the ability to separate a person's viewing activity or recordings from the other household members, for ease of access and privacy. Netflix and Windows have had user profiles for ages.

delete the interrupted/superceded program from your DVR. then search for the title of the show on your X1 or stream app and you can play the on-demand version (available usually morning of the next day).
The second part access depends on in home or out of home. you can record a later local news show and watch it away from home when the recording has completed. TVgo Channels are supplied by willing networks via their contracts with Comcast.

The "stream" portal on a desktop/laptop does not require deleting the recording to see the other viewing options, so it is reasonable for Stream on Roku to offer the same.
It would also be helpful if we could delete the various you watched or would you like to continue watching things... users should be able to delete that history, especially when we started watching something and decided we don't like it, we should not be stuck with it hanging around.
It would also be really nice if we could see preview images when we are fast forwarding and rewinding content.. not just a moving clock. Other services have had that ability for a long time.
It makes it really hard to fast forward or rewind to the desired point when you can't see what is happening in the program. Basic functionality that is missing.
