Error TVAPP-00200 and 00243

Why am I getting this error when I try to stream using my iPhone’s internet provider? It happens on the NBC network.

I am receiving the exact same error message when I use my Xfinity internet network.  When I go to 5g, I can watch more channels but there is then a different error message.  This just started within the last few days.

I have had the same issues since early December. I spoken with Tech support for hours and apparently it keeps getting escalated and gets no where. I've always used the stream app on my ipad on wifi at school, starbucks..etc, it was never an issue. Now tech support is telling me I can only watch on my "at home" wifi which defeats the purpose of having the app. I'm beyond frustrated with xfinity at this point.

@user_8c6559 Thank you for reaching out. There are certain channels that are only available on your in home network and wouldn't be available when you are connected to other networks. May I ask what channels you get this message with?

It’s with all channels, I can’t even watch things that I have recorded. Something changed with xfinity over the last month and it’s amazing how no one there knows what it is.

@user_55ff6f Thank you for reaching out to the Digital Care Team. I hate to hear this has been your experience and would love to investigate this for you! Are you also using an apple device?

I’m on a brand new iPad Pro and I have an iPhone. All of which on are the newest version of iOS. I can’t watch any channels nor can I watch anything that I’ve recorded. This has been going on for over a month.

January 18, 2022- As others have posted, I have been able to watch NBC live, specifically Connecticut news at 6:30 a.m. and The Today Show beginning at 7 a.m.  on my mobile Xfinity app using data, NOT WIFI.  This has worked for a long time.  Just about 3 weeks ago, the live stream would not work for NBC only.  Other stations with live stream work.    I'm getting the 00243 error message. I spent almost 45 minutes on a chat with an agent who sent refresher signals, etc. and told me the app would work in 60 minutes.  He assured me it would work. Of course, it did not. I then called and spoke to a rep who said it likely won't work for me and had no suggestions for how to fix it.  If it worked before, Xfinity should know how to make it work again.   This is frustrating and making me want to switch from Xfinity.

For quite a while I have been able to watch live stream on my iPhone with no problem while using data.  Just about 3 weeks ago, NBC stations 4 and 5 in Connecticut stopped working on the mobile app livestream. I received the 00243 message.   Other live streaming stations work fine; it's only NBC.  I try to watch the CT 6:30 a.m. news and The Today Show at 7 a.m.  I have turned my phone on and off. I have deleted and reinstalled the app.  I keep getting the 00243 error message. This is frustrating, as is wasting 45 minutes in a chat and being told the issue would absolutely be fixed after refreshes sent to my account.  This is frustrating and makes me want to get rid of Xfinity.  I also called the 800 number and the rep could not help me, saying something changed and it can't be fixed.

Hi, jmargfed. We want to help you get to the bottom of this as well. Do the same error occur while you are at home and on WiFi and trying to stream this network?
