Error code 04036 on Paramount +

I keep getting error code 04036 for the last several days and am unable to get into my Paramount + app. I’ve tried resetting box and router. Also cleared local storage and tried to sign in again and still keep getting the same code. What gives?

I have exactly this same problem, for the past several days.  Tried power-off rebooting the Xfinity box.  Checked that my Paramount+ account is valid and active. How can we solve this?

I talked with an actual Xfinity support person. Some models of Xfinity boxes have trouble with Paramount+.  They recently discovered that my model is also problematic. They’re actively working on the problem and will text me when it’s resolved.

I purchased Paramount+ last month, and I was shipped a new X1 box.  At first everything worked as expected.

Then last weekend I started getting the "Sorry we are having problems with this APP" message with the code APPS04036.

I just want to add my name to the growing list of customers who are having this problem, and hope it can be resolved quickly.

We appreciate your patience during this time while we wait for a resolution. In the meantime, I would recommend using the Paramount Plus website with your Xfinity login to watch content. Let us know if you have any other questions.

A followup to my earlier message about the Paramount+ error code. After two weeks of being locked out of the app, I took my TV Comcast box in to the local store and had it replaced with a newer model. (Progress: I no longer can see a time display.) But Paramount+ works on the new box. My box was only a year or so old, but apparently it was a model that had the glitch. So problem solved.
