Connection Error for Xfinity Stream App on Amazon Fire Kindle HDX
Xfinity Stream app on my Amazon Fire Kindle HDX recently stopped working when I tried to access it.
The Kindle device updates are current and I removed Xfinity Stream app and then downloaded it again.
After clicking "Get Started" button on Xfinity Stream, I get:
Connection Error
Please check your connection and try again.
My other streaming apps are working and I rebooted my wireless router too.

Just tried again 3/22/20 and still getting same error. When I contacted xfinity in early Feb, they said, "there is no known issue with the application." I guess that depends on how they define an "issue."

I could not see how to private message you when clicking your user id. ??
(Edit: finally found the Send Message link)
It's been several weeks since the last post on this thread where so many are having this issue. with no resolution posted.
Our Kindle File HDX will not connect. Same error.
Are there any updates regarding a resolution?
Thanks

I was having the same issue and also found that I could not login to Xfinity from my home network. I bounced my modem and am good to go. I can now use the Stream App on my Fire tablet and can also now access the Xfinity login from my home network.

This was working last week on my Kindle Fire HDX, suddenly it's not. My connection is fine, I am not having any issues with any other streaming app on this device or with this app on any other device. Deleted the Xfinity Stream app, restarted, downloaded the version available from the Amazon App Store, installed, same problem. Deleted again, restarted, found older version (5.1.6.002), installed, same problem. Deleted, restarted, found even older version (4.4.4.226), installed, same problem. Seriously, Comcast, with the millions you spend claiming your poorly designed X1 interface and your obtuse customer service scheduling is "teh best evar" while your rates skyrocket and you keep removing services, we need a damm response other than virtual head scratching and shoulder shrugging. If it was your intent to end support for Amazon devices THEN SAY SO. Stop pretending that your silence will somehow make us forget about the problem.
