Cast Content to Your Chromecast Device from Xfinity Stream app

The instructions say that there is a "cast" icon in the header. I've installed the app today and there is no "cast" icon. How do I get the cast icon to appear?

@flash333 Which link are you having trouble with? Here are the instructions again, just in case there was an issue in the link itself. If you are still having trouble, please try to clear cache and cookies, then try again. 

 

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

In order to view the Casting Xfinity Stream Content to Chromecast

 

Please check this list. Please let us know if all requirements are met. 

  • Must be an Xfinity customer to stream live TV and Xfinity On Demand content.
  • Must be a cloud DVR service customer to stream DVR recordings.
  • Must have an Xfinity ID and password to provision service on a mobile device or computer.
  • Must be connected to in-home Xfinity Internet network to stream full channel lineup and full Xfinity On Demand library.
  • Must be connected to a WiFi or mobile network to stream and download completed DVR recordings.
  • Xfinity Flex customers.
  • Non-Comcast customers with previous Comcast purchases (i.e., Downgrade, Churned).
  • Customers waiting for Xfinity TV installation.
  • Xfinity On Campus customers are not eligible at this time.
