Can’t view In-Home Content in Stream app using wi-fi in Bridge Mode

Our condo is unusually long, so the wi-fi built into the XB8 gateway couldn’t reach all the way to our master bedroom, even using 2 Xfi Extenders. So we got a mesh wi-fi system and connected it via Bridge Mode. Now things are working much better, but suddenly we have a non-technical problem…

The Xfinity Stream app says we can’t watch local sports on SCHN because we’re not using our home wi-fi, but of course, we are using our home wi-fi, just not the wi-fi built into the gateway. I understand this is a licensing issue, but is there any way around it? We truly are home and using our Xfinity cable - there should be a way to do this!
