Can not get my Apple TV app to stream to two tvs in the same house.

I have a Sony smart tv connected to infinity in one room (connected to main box) and another LG smart tv also connected in a different room.  When I activated Apple TV (through Xfinity), I find it only plays on the Sony tv and not the LG.  My understanding is that any streaming app (I.e. Apple TV) once activated through the main box does “not” have to reactivated for each separate tv in the house.

Any suggestions as to why the Apple app won’t activate on the second tv?

user_qdu7p5 Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forums. I hear your frustration, and I'm so sorry for the trouble you're having. It's incredibly annoying when something that seems like it should be simple doesn't work the way you expect, especially after spending so much time on the phone. You're right to expect that a streaming service should work on all your TVs, and I completely understand why you're frustrated.

The reason you're running into this issue is that Apple TV+ is a separate service that needs to be activated on each individual device, even when you're using the same Xfinity account. Think of it like this: your Xfinity account is the key to getting into the app store, but your Apple ID is the key to unlocking the Apple TV app on each TV.

You'll need to open the Apple TV app on your second TV and sign in using your Apple ID. From there, it will prompt you to link your Xfinity subscription to that specific device. I know this isn't the simple "it just works" solution you were hoping for, but I hope this helps you get everything set up. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Unfortunately, this approach does “not” work despite Christy’s reccomended action; On an auxiliary tv, I went through these steps using my Apple ID and when I finally reached the screen stating the tv was ready to start streaming (Apple tv+) I clicked the start button and was instantly routed back to Apples “sign-up” page as opposed to opening the actual app

No matter how many times I went through this exercise, the end result was always the same, contacting Xfinity customer help numerous times also didn’t help as each rep sent me through the same endless routines (ie refreshing, deleting and restoring the Apple app, checking for box issues, etc) none of which allowed me to access this app (same with Peacock and Netflix).

In each case, only the “new account sign up page” appears; why should I have to sign-up for a separate subscription on top of already paying for this same subscription through Xfinity’s bundled stream savers package?

If Xfinity can’t deliver on this, why don’t they offer to reduce their “bundled package” by enough to allow their customers to separately sign up for these streaming services?  Ugh

Just an update to the preceding complaint, talked to another Xfinity rep (Seth) today and he was “very” knowledgeable and easy to understand; discovered that somehow (during the madness of this past week) that my Xfinity Screen Saver option had been disabled (unbeknown to me); after reinstating it, I was able to go in and reload all of the streaming services (that I had earlier signed up for) on all tv sets in house, so everything is working again - whew!  Thanks again Seth
