Apple TV- A year since, no progress

Wasted 30 min of my time before finally finding this link below.

The poor explanation regarding use of Xfinity stream on Apple TV remains unchanged since someone brought it to your attention over a year ago. 

It still makes no sense to stream on other devices and is still difficult to find answers to the “WiFi in-home” prompt that appears as the app begins to open.
