After cable modem change, Roku gets Error createDRMSession.TVAPP-00101 error Xfinity Streaming app
Three weeks ago I had to change my cable modem as I bought a new one. Now my internet is working, but the Xfinity Streaming app on my Rokus are getting a Error createDRMSession.TVAPP-00101 on startup. The error message states something to the effect that I am not on my home network so it won't allow the connection.
I am on my home network and using a wired connection. Prior to the cable modem change, the Roku app was working perfectly. I made no other changes to my home setup other than the cable modem change.
I have signed out, deleted the app and reinstalled, powered down and restarted every device (cable modem, Roku, router), each multiple times, and nothing works. I reregistered the cable modem via Xfinity support also, to no avail.
The cable modem listed in my account is correct, the MAC address on the Xfinity account page matches the new cable modem I am using. The make and model are correct as well. I also called support and had them remove all old devices associated with my account.
None of this has worked for me.
Basically it seems like the new cable modem is not associated as at my home in some way. I combed the forums but no suggestion has worked. Is there something else I can do?
I am SOOOO tired of working with online chat people that ask me if my cable modem is plugged it. Essentially this is the same problem as here:
Someone HELLLPPP PLEASE!!!

let's start somewhere easier. can you view streaming TV on a PC? a smartphone/tablet?

I am having the same problem. I got a new xfinity provided modem. I returned 2 tv boxes and set up 2 Roku + sticks. They worked great for about 2 weeks and then stopped. I have done the same steps, restarted modem, restarted Roku, signed out xfinity beta app, deleted beta app, reinstalled beta app. Still get same error message. I'm able to stream on my iPad, Android phone and computer. Internet works, phone works, and the 1 remaining xfinity dvr tv box I have works fine for live tv as well as streaming and recording. Only the xfinity beta app does not work on any of my new Roku + sticks. All other apps on stick stream fine. Help! Please.

same problem. spent 2 hours on the phone "reprovisioning" and uninstalling/installing the app. they set a tech to my house and he called in and danced the same dance for an hour only to tell me that my roku ultra wasn't supported (even though it worked fine 2 days ago). tried to rent me a flexbox for $5 a month. then shrugged and left. what a joke.
