Xfinity Hotspots Shows WiFi Profile Management has Been Disabled
The Xfinity Hotspots app worked perfectly after my wife and I switched our internet service to Xfinity. However, last night we officially moved our cellphones to Xfinity and ever since Hotspots only gives the error message that 'WiFi Profile Management has been Disabled'. We have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Hotspots and Xfinity WiFi Settings apps.
Another thread mentioned the mobile APN may be to blame, and sure enough if I disable my SIM card in my devices settings, the WiFi profiles load immediately. As soon as I re-activate my SIM, I get the same error message again.
What's the official fix here? It's not tenable to keep my SIM card turned off when I'm out and about. The Xfinity Hotspot feature was a major selling point in getting us to switch, and it's a major turn off that we're having these issues right off the bat. And if the forums are anything to go by, this issue seems to be affecting a large number of users.

Hello, @user_c09bd3, thank you for letting us know about the issues you have been having with the WiFi Profile Management and Hotspot app! Due to account security and the issue appears to be with the SIM, our options with Xfinity Mobile accounts are very limited. We're unable to perform any device or account specific requests over this platform. Have you tried calling or texting 1 (888) 936-4968, or reached out to our secure online chat at https://comca.st/3QbeScW where an Xfinity Mobile expert is available 24/7?

Where is the THUMB-Down Button for all those USELESS official Comcast replies. It really only agrevates this ignorance incompetence of Comcast! The "WiFi Profile Management has Been Disabled" Problem is wide spread, and COmcast chooses to blame users, annoy them with the same [Edited: "Language"] of clear Storage/Cache deinstall reinstall und now even blaming SIM Card. Just Google, and you will see yourself, no rocket scientist degree needed. Shame on You Comcast!

Hi @user_c09bd3 , Xfinity Mobile devices connect to Xfinity WiFi Hotspots automatically - they do not require the profile downloaded from the Hotspots App. This is why you are experiencing problems when trying to download the profiles after you switched to Xfinity Mobile. Instead of using the Hotspots App, you can download the Xfinity App, where you'll find the Hotspot Map and other great features to manage your services.
