Voicemail

I have been trying to get my voicemail set up for 6 months. When I go into the phone on my iPhone and go to voicemail I do not have the option to set up. The only option I have is call voicemail. When I call I get that the wireless customer you are trying to reach is unavailable. I have also tried *86, holding 1, resetting network, and hard rest my device. I have been in contact with 20 people for xfinity and no one will help me. They tell me the same steps that get me no where and then I get disconnected.. I am really frustrated as I need voicemail for my job.

If you have switched between Android and Apple iOS a simple voicemail reset is probably not going to fix the problem. Maybe XM will upgrade their reset option sometime in the future, but don’t hold your breath.

So for now, do the following:

1.) Call (or text) XM at 888-936-4968 and ask for tier 2 visual voicemail support to switch your backend settings from Android to Apple iOS, or vice versa.

2.) Then Power off and Power On again. Maybe reset network settings again.

3.) Now go to Phone > Voicemail and it should say “Setup Voicemail” or “Greeting” if XM has corrected the problem, otherwise call or text again.
