Visual Voicemail

I switched to Xfinity Mobile nearly a month ago.  Visual Voicemail has never worked on my new iPhone 12.  I've spent upwards of 10 hours on the phone with Xfinity tech support and with Apple tech support, not to mention two visits to my local Xfinity store. 

 

The gist of it is Xfinity initially said it's an Apple problem.  Apple says it's an Xfinity problem.  Then Xfinity says it's a Verizon problem and it'll be fixed in 72 hours.  That was nine days ago and four days ago, the tech at the store said the problem had been advanced to a 3rd tier(I think that's the term) support person and it would be fixed quickly.  As of now, I've had now response from them.

 

I'm at my wit's end.  Anybody have any thoughts other than to abandon Xfinity and go back to AT&T?

I've never gotten it to work on my Samsung either. I ended up downloading Voxist. Works well enough for my purposes. Basically transcribes your voice mails.

Patience pays off. 

 

After more discussions with tech support and visits to the Xfinity store about whether or not it's an iPhone or a network problem, I swapped SIM cards with another Xfinity customer whose Visual Voicemail works.  With their SIM card in my phone, the Visual Voicemail works fine on my phone and with mine in theirs, it didn't work.  So, it's not a phone problem. 

 

I had a call today from an Xfinity tech, who I explained this to and she agreed.  A half hour later, the Visual Voicemail began to work.  She forced a deactivation of my account and recreated it and it provisioned correctly.

 

So, patience and persistence and I'm finally a happy customer.
