Visual voicemail not working on iPhone 12 after porting from Verizon and Android phone
Hello,
I’ve seen multiple posts on the same topic and need help to setup VVM on my new iPhone. I’ve called Xfinity support multiple times and they don’t seem to have a clue how to fix this. They are telling me my iPhone is missing a visual voicemail app since I bought it directly from Apple which is bogus. I believe since I ported the number over via the webpage rather than talking to and Xfinity rep that my line needs to be reprovisioned as an iPhone rather than Android.
Please Help as this is very frustrating!
Matt

Here is my suggestion for fixing visual voicemail if you have switched between Android and Apple iOS.
1.) Make sure that the IMEI on your device matches the IMEI on your XM account so that XM knows whether your device is Android or iOS.
2.) Reset Network Settings. Power Off, then Power On again.
This probably will not fix the problem for most of you, so you will need to start over as follows:
1.) Call XM at 800-266-2278 and have them remove your voicemail
2.) Power off, then Power On again
3.) Now go to Phone > Voicemail and set up your phone (It might say call voicemail)
Here is an old article on iPhone Voicemail https://www.payetteforward.com/iphone-voicemail-use-data-visual-voicemail-explained/
Remember that voicemail uses cellular/carrier data (or WiFi Calling) so you should have your cellular data enabled.

We have exact same issue currently. XM removed voicemail, reset network settings, everything. But still won’t show the voicemail screen as it should. They said they’d never experienced this and their advanced team would call me in 24-48hrs (that was days ago….). Very frustrating.
