unlock phone

I have had the worst experience with Xfinity and would never recommend their service to anyone. I had to switch providers because my service is horrible in my area. No one told me I needed to unlock my phone before I started the porting process. Now my phone number is with the new provider but the process cannot be completed because my phone is locked. I have been without my phone for 3 days and I cannot be without my phone anymore because it's my business line. I have spent 12 plus hours on the phone talking with dozens of representatives and managers in their tier 2 and 3 departments and they say they can't do anything to expedite the process of unlocking my phone and that I just have to keep waiting. I find that completely ridiculous and unacceptable!!!!! I'm ready to file a complaint with BBB because it's illegal for them to keep my fully paid off phone locked. I don't know what else to do, can someone please help me?

I’m so sorry on your experience with unlocking the phone to use on the country post powerful network. May I ask who was your phone provider before Xfinity mobile 

was it Verizon or T-Mobile?

This is a very common issue if you read the forums. I'm currently on day 12 of waiting for my phone to be unlocked. (This is after receiving an email from them saying that my phone has been unlocked)

Hello, @user_d722dc! I'm sorry to hear about this situation. It sounds like you've done a lot to resolve this with the Xfinity Mobile (XM) team, but we can definitely try to help move this along. I know your post is from a couple of days ago, and porting does take a set number of days for different providers. Having said that, has the issue now been resolved?
