Signal

It’s been almost two weeks since I have been back with XM. The first time, I had extremely poor signal at my home (one to two bars but generally it’s one) and that was with the iPhone XS Max. Now that I decided to come back, I got the 11 Pro Max and the signal is all the same. XM needs to improve the quality of the signal or let us use a booster (I know no one on Verizon).

I have seen that my iPhone shows the PRL of 15683. I tried updating by dialing star codes but those codes have been blocked by XM. How do we update the PRL?

My PRI (Preferred Roaming List) is also 15683 which may be the standard for XM.

XM does not offer femtocells or microcells. Even Verizon no longer offers their 4G femtocell to their consumer users except in limited circumstances. Now that almost all carriers offer WiFi Calling and almost all devices support WiFi Calling, users should use WiFi Calling instead as it does the same thing with one less device.

Femtocell = Phone to femtocell to WiFi/Router/Internet to XM/Verizon Server

Wifi Calling = Phone to WiFi/Router/Internet to XM/Verizon Server

Thanks for responding! I use WiFi calling. I know they don’t offer signal boosters. That’s why I said I don’t know anyone on VZW for me to activate one. Someone in the Comcast_Xfinity sub on Reddit said a friend of his just activated a cell spot for him that he got from Mercari. He also provided me a link to a support page from Apple that says how to update the PRL which I tried that and it doesn’t update so there must not be one. Anyway, thanks for responding.
