Samsung Note 9 - NO voicemail notifications

Don't bother leaving me a voicemail these days, I'll never get notified of them unless I go into the Xfinity Voicemail application and refresh it after EVERY SINGLE CALL! This has been going on for months. I thought it would resolve itself but alas it has not. I went through all my own security settings and confirmed the voicemail app isn't getting put to sleep or on block. Spoke to Xfinity via chat three times and was told five reasons it was broken. Nothing they suggested resolved the issue. I've been on the phone with Xfinity now for an hour an eight minutes while they research this problem.

Anybody else not getting notified??? I can listen to them no problems if I go into the application and refresh to see the new voicemail. How annoying!

My wife had this problem with her S10e and now S23 on Xfinity. What has worked for the last 5 phone calls and voicemails or so is: Long press the voicemail app, select the info icon (the little "i" in the circle), select Battery, and select "Unrestricted" instead of "Optimized". Do this for your Phone app too.

On my Pixel, these apps came standard as Unrestricted. I think Optimized is good for your battery because the app doesn't run as often in the background, but it's not good for your Voicemail and Phone! Those should be allowed to run as they wish! Lol. But I really don't know.. time will tell. (I switched to the S23 now too.)
