S21 data usage much less than Xfinity data usage

Hi.  I saw this issue reported recently,  but I saw no solution. I communicated with someone via chat last night for a very long time with no solution. They tell me to go to the store, the store tells me to call in. I'm not getting assistance with this and various other issues with the new phone that I purchased from your company in May. I've been promised callbacks by management and never received any follow-up. The representative told me I should turn off mobile data when I'm at home, but that shouldn't be necessary with a brand new phone. Can someone help me please?

How much of a difference is there? What is your phone currently showing compared to your account?

I have a different phone, but mine currently shows the data in MB, and my account shows the amount rounded in GB. Other than that, they're equal. On my phone's data usage screen, it says, "Carrier data accounting may differ from device accounting."

I keep the data turned off on my phone unless I need to use it. It's useful no matter how old or new a phone is, unless you're monitoring something that always needs an internet connection and no wifi is available. I also have background data turned off on nearly all of my apps.

Thank you for the reply.  The phone shows 1.35 gig and Xfinity shows 2.55 gig.  HUGE difference.  When I contacted Xfinity mobile and asked for a copy of the usage to see where it may be high, I was told that they cannot provide that to me. I set this up the beginning of May and I've spent many hours with customer service including this phone being sent to me as a replacement for the original one because I was having issues with that phone also.

Do both your phone and account show the same dates for the billing cycle? I replaced a phone last year. If I remember correctly, my new phone had the wrong dates and I had to correct them.

Thanks again for replying.   I made sure dates matched.
