Porting number from Vonage to Xfinity Mobile

I need to know whether I can bring my Vonage telephone number to Xfinity mobile.  How can I find out if I can do this?  In theory it shouldn't be a problem, but there are a bunch of threads with people who said they had trouble getting it done.  I would like to speak with an employee to have them verify if my number can be "switched" or ported from my existing (and active) Vonage account to Xfinity mobile (where I have to add the new telephone sim card).

Hello smartcitycar,

Thank you for your question and bringing this concern to our attention. Gladly, I’ll provide the needed assistance. It is possible to do a port-in of your Vonage number into Xfinity Mobile. Porting from Vonage takes approximately 24 hours.

From your statement, I am unsure if you are a Xfinity customer already and would want to port-in the number on a new line with a new device on the existing account, or if you were looking to establish services for the first time.

In case you were looking to start a brand-new account, that would entail living in a Comcast service footprint in order to establish residential high-speed internet service. After creating a new internet account, then we would be able to provide mobile service.

If you already have a mobile account with XM, then the following would apply.

In order to begin the port-in process, and as you mention, your Vonage account needs to remain active. The following indicates what you need to have available for us to port-in the number. These details pertain to your Vonage account;

Telephone number being ported
Account number
PIN
Account holder's name
Billing address

You can reach out to me through private message by clicking on my name ComcastChrisL and then click on send message. If you do have an existing XM account, please provide the first and last name of the account holder, the account number, and the last 4 digits of the stored payment method on file.

Thanks again for your time and patience.
