Phone calls dropping
I contacted Xfinity before and they gave me a number to dial after the 6th dropped call. Did NOT work and it's to the point now I can barely get through a short conversation. I've tried different areas in the home, etc. Extremely frustrated. Price good but it's becoming worthless.

Your problem may be with WiFi Calling not working properly on your phone. Does it work okay without WiFi Calling enabled?
1.) Make sure that you have the latest Xfinity Mobile software on your phone (Xfinity Mobile 41.0).
2.) Make sure that your phones latest software is installed on your phone.
3.) See the latest posts on WiFi Calling.

Now if you’re connected to the Internet while you’re making a phone call and you walk away from the Internet area, Your phone your phone will drop the call because the Internet went away.
To stop this, if you know you’re going to be away from the Internet Connection, just turn it off. Turn off the Wi-Fi for that time that you will be roaming. You’ll be on the Verizon cell network only and you’re relying on their connection and that the Internet.

This is happening to me and my wife. Neither one of us uses WiFi calling, and the same issue happens in many locations even with good signal strength. We cannot call each other, or call out to other people. It is getting very frustrating. The phone worked fine when I first got it, but now it is dropping incoming and outgoing calls all of the time.

I just got dropped twice in a 30 minutes call. Never had this problem with any other wireless carriers before. The wifi calling is disabled in my iPhone (xfinity is also my wifi provider and wifi is unstable too).

I have 2 iPhones - 1 personal and 1 work. Personal is iPhone 11 and work is iPhone 7. Both on Verizon and our Verizon signal is not strong enough in and around the house (and neighborhood) for me to not use Wi-Fi calling as I am working more from home now. Neither phone will last more than 5 minutes on a call while I am in my house on WiFi before dropping. That is both on incoming and outgoing calls. I have 3 pod WiFi extenders in the house and 1 is in the office I am working in and still constantly get dropped calls. I cannot find a solution and really at a stand still at this point. Intermittent dropped internet

Using wifi is nothing knew for those people saying they don’t use, they really should. However, I have the same issue as the others But, I do have my wifi enabled. When I spoke to xfinity they told me to go to settings & reset the network. That didn’t work. The next time I called they told me I needed a new SIM card but I wouldn’t have any service for 3 days so I didn’t do that yet. The last time I called the xfinity person ran some actual tests through the line or on my phone. We went to settings - privacy -analytics. He came back and said there was a problem with the line or my phone and after 2 hours of trouble shooting guess what? Yep! The call dropped!!! 😡 I gave up. I just had an important call a few minutes ago & the call got dropped so I’ve got to do something. Boost mobile works great where I am so I have one of their phones for important calls. My boyfriend got me in his plan with xfinity mobile. I’m kind of stuck. I have an IPhone XR. hopefully I’ll find how to fix this issue and I’ll update this post.

Try this fix - look on the back of the router - there are two ports for telephone - plug in to port 1
see photo, I saved this for future reference:

If you have enabled WiFi Calling your phone will only switch from cellular to WiFi Calling if you have a poor or no cellular connection AND you have a strong and consistent WiFi/Internet connection. Normally your phone can switch between the two as necessary while on a call.
Here are possible problems:
1.) You may have an old WiFi router that only allows a limited number of connections to devices.
2.) You may have appliances that can interrupt your connection.
3.) If you have a newer WiFi router with both 2.4 and 5 GHz you may need to set your phone to connect to one or the other, not both, because if you move around your house and your phone switches from one to the other, it will drop your call. Rethink your WiFi router SSID setup
Wifi and WiFi Calling will never be as dependable as a cellular connection.
