New phone discount for existing customers
I'm an existing Xfinity mobile customer which has 2 lines and both phones paid for. I recently cracked the screen on my phone so figured it was time for a new phone. I love Xfinity mobile and would like to stay but if getting a phone is cheaper with another provider, I will go that route. I've decided to get a Google Pixel 4 XL which is $300 off with a new line and xfer of number. I can transfer my number out from Xfinity mobile and cancel the service then get a new line and transfer the number back in to get the discounted rate but thought since I've been with the company, I'd check to see if I could get it without going through that hassle and I wouldn't consider going with another provider that was as well. Please let me know. Thanks.

I just called customer service and was told that if I add a new line with a transferred number to get the discount and afterwards swap devices, I will lose the discount. That doesn't make sense to me and contradicts what you said. Did you have to do anything beyond swapping SIM cards in order to swap devices afterwards? Thanks

I own 3 phones with Xfinity Mobile. Two that are in use have battery bulge (after 4 years of use) so I want to swap my main number to the third phone that has been in storage. Plus I want to buy a new 5G phone. But why do existing customers have to go through the "game" to get a deal?
