My iPhone can’t access internet while connected to xfinitywifi
The only WiFi I have available to me at the moment is the public “xfinitywifi” and for some reason, all of a sudden, it no longer works on my iPhone 6s. My phone will connect to it without any problems, but whenever I try to open an app it always says “no internet connection” or whenever I try to load a page on safari it says it “can’t establish a secure connection”. It acts like I have no connection at all while it IS connected. I even tried it from a different hotspot, it did the same thing. And I know it’s not my phone because I got WiFi from a restaurant and it worked just fine.
Please tell me why my phone can no longer use xfinitywifi correctly and what I can do to fix it. My phone can’t work without WiFi and so I’m having to use a family phone while at home. What can I do?

Thank you for your time and patience. We greatly appreciate you reaching out through the Xfinity Forum. I’ll be happy to provide further direction.
My first question is in regard to your Comcast Xfinity residential high-speed internet account. Have you recently downgraded speeds or disconnected the service altogether? In order to access the Xfinity wifi hotspots, even the unsecured signal, you’ll need an active in-home high-speed account with Comcast.
Also, if you downgraded to a lower speed, that will also impact access. If you’ve maintained the same level of internet service with Comcast, please refer to the link below for additional troubleshooting steps;

The solution is to download the Xfinity HotSpot app and it will install the necessary file to allow you to establish a secure connection.

When I am away from my home, I cannot access the web on my IPHONE. I have Xfinitymobil and Xfinity internet.
