Mobile data charge with no usage

Xfinity Mobile should reconsider this new $12 charge for 1 gig data without any usage, especially for seniors above 65 on a fixed income and all others under the current restricted health and economic  conditions.

So you want them to just give you free unlimited calling and texting?  Are there companies out there that do that?  Are there companies out there that do that for less than 12 bucks a month.  If there are, you should probably make the switch.

Find a company that only charges for just calls  for less than XM and move on to them. Easily solved. If you do let us know because I cant find any.

Xfinity Mobile has been sold with no data charge unless used for the past few years. Evidently, this was a loss leader which now is changed to the detriment of those who do not use data.

I agree with original poster:

If xfinity-mobile customer also has "internet essentials" low-income service for their home internet then YES INDEED the first $12 of xfinity-mobile data-charges ought to be WAIVED monthly for the customer.

Seems to me that comcast is trying to do Right Things in that direction and there is a decent hope that they will indeed do so.

My opinion is that such a change is way more important than integrating home-internet & xfinity-mobile bills, and that either change  could be troublesome for regulatory reasons more than software reasons.

Um...yeah, that's how it's been since 2017. And it's not free, per se, you need to (had to?) subscribe to a minimum internet plan.

Who are you? A shill for Xfinity? They sold us on by the gig at 0$. A company has the right to make money, but not for services you don't use. What they did is track what other carriers charge and then charge just less than that, knowing it was shady, but that few people would leave because they're still cheaper. But 100 MB @ 12 bucks? They know people will hit that quick and get into the second one soon. It's cheaper, but still shady business practicing.
